Steal, Glass, Iron beat Plastic, Aluminium and Teflon

Non-Stick Free
Learning about the disadvantages of non-stick, we completely eliminated its use from our home a year back. We were experimenting with ceramic, iron and ended with mostly stainless steel cookware. For a Tawa we use iron and others mostly steel.

For electric rice cooker, we use the stainless steel like this which made a lot of sense. The previous one always needs replacement every year as the non stick coating keeps disappearing. We love this as this is life long. I love the steel so much. Respect to steel grew when my mom showed me all the steel utensils she got from her mom. These just go from generations to generations with no issues like leaching into the food.

Plastic Free
All of the tupperware we use is currently steel. There is a lot of issues with using plastic. And putting them in dishwasher is toxic. After learning that most of the BPA free containers also contain BPA in kids bottles, etc, we completely eliminated plastic so much that I recently bought stainless steel and glass straws.

We also decided to use loose tea instead of tea bags because of the plastic present in it. Doesn't make much of a difference anyway.

Aluminium Free
Most of my pressure cookers used to be aluminium and sure it leached into food as the bottom is getting thinner than the edges. Aluminium is very toxic at high temperatures. Can't believe I do not know this until now. Most of the utensils are made with aluminium despite its issues.

Protein Power Balls

One of the most healthy and filling snacks is the Protein Power Balls. These are almost instant and easy to make and all natural. They contain amazing nutrition benefits with healthy fats and protein. I prefer the following seeds in the preparation of these balls: Sprouted Pumpkin Seeds  Sprouted Sunflower Seeds Hemp Seeds Overnight soaked, slow roasted sesame seeds  Why I do not use nuts? Since they contain phytic acid, and it is not good to eat raw nuts. It is better to soak nuts overnight before eating them. Why I use sprouted seeds? Even seeds have phytic acid, sprouting makes the nutrients in the seeds more bioavailable and easy to digest.  Why did I use raw Hemp seeds? Since hemp is the most easily digestible seeds and does not need soaking. Why did I soak overnight and slow roast sesame seeds? For any other seeds, this is the process I follow apart from the above three. It is just an example. I get the organic sprouted pumpkin and sunflow...
